Self-esteem can be a real ground knocker, the thoughts we have about our selves can knock us down, and completely destroy us. The things others say about us often inflict on our self image, and often times add flame to the fire when it comes to how we feel about ourselves. Are you struggling with low self-esteem, when you look in the mirror does it knock you down, is there something you are facing that hinders your outlook on yourself. Having optimistic outlooks, don't often come easy when you have low self-esteem. Trying to add up to societies high expectations can really tear you down. We become comfortable in our negative thoughts and perspectives of our selves, without even realizing how much destruction it is causing. Often times we feel stuck. Stuck in thoughts such as ; I am not good enough, no one likes me, I am different, I am ugly, I am to skinny, I am too fat, my hair sucks, I will never succeed, and many other destructive thoughts. Stuck in this downward spiral of self destruction, and low self esteem. Beating ourselves up over and over again because we have no idea how to do otherwise. Becoming someone we aren't, because we are too afraid to reveal the real us. As someone who has battled hair loss for 21 years , I understand, I too have a daily battle with reminded myself of my self worth. Being bald, as a female, against a society that depicts perfection as someone with amazing, beautiful hair, is hard and can easily leave me feeling afraid and ashamed. It has controlled my life in so many ways I didn't even realize and caused me so much self destruction. But I am here to tell you, I am still bald, and I continue to overcome. I have learned to look in the mirror and smile, I have learned to find the good in the bad , find strength in this weakness, and I have learned to be me, unashamed and unafraid. And you can too! Here are some tips on how to find positive self worth. Leading to you be Unafraid and Unashamed:

1 Change your mindset- what you think is what you are, so think positively
2 Stop putting yourself down, and start lifting yourself up.
3 Learn to love yourself, despite your flaws, for there is good in everyone they just have to discover it.
4 Take care of yourself, and tend to your needs. Keep yourself healthy and happy both physically, spiritually, and emotionally
5 Seek love and support from others. Encouragement is key to finding happiness within yourself.
6. Ignore the negative input of others, they have flaws of their own as well.
7. BE YOURSELF, do not try to be anyone else.
